Creating Places with Love

Those who have a place to rest their hearts are truly happy—because with that, they can face any challenge tomorrow.
For example: a chair for reading and reflection in the sun, a personal chair you sit in first when you return home from work,
a desk to immerse yourself in hobbies late into the night, a sofa to watch old films with family on weekends, a table where cherished friends gather from afar.
Through furniture that holds each person’s many feelings, we support the people who gather in those spaces,
and we create loving places where small happiness overflows and gently settles into everyday life.

About Our Company and Brands

NODA Japan Co., Ltd. (AREA) was founded in 2003 and marks its 23rd anniversary this year.
Our main business is the manufacture, import, and sale of interior items centered on furniture.

In 2025, to clarify our brand strategy in Japan and overseas and build a management structure specialized by market, we established NODA Holdings Co., Ltd. and RB Japan Co., Ltd.

This strengthens the dual-brand structure of our original global brand AREA and the French luxury interior brand Roche Bobois in Japan, further accelerating proposals for new interior styles.

NODA Japan Co., Ltd. develops AREA, which sells original furniture and provides spatial design, and Terior, which curates primarily European outdoor furniture.
RB Japan Co., Ltd. handles sales in Japan for Roche Bobois, a leading French interior brand.

Each brand enriches and colors the lives of many people with items full of character.

An interior brand that creates lifelong original furniture and spatial design where “materials,” “craftsmanship,” and “design” become one.
Following the opening of our Paris store in 2019, we opened our New York store in 2024.
We are also planning new developments across Asia from 2024 onward.

A leading French interior brand with a presence in 60 countries worldwide.
Rooted in the philosophy of “Art de vivre”—a lifestyle that naturally incorporates what you love into everyday life—Roche Bobois presents creations through collaborations with diverse designers, artists, and architects.

An outdoor furniture brand delivering distinctive, carefully selected items from countries that have long enjoyed outdoor living—centered on Europe, including France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
With items usable both indoors and outdoors, Terior dissolves the boundary between Interior and Exterior and proposes free, open places to belong. Widely used in homes and villas, as well as hotels and commercial facilities.

VISION

Aiming to Become a World Brand Representing Asia

Japanese culture has been shaped on a foundation of three major streams
that formed over time.
The first crossed the seas from the southwest, originating in places such as Persia.
The second came overland from the west—via the Korean Peninsula—through India and China.
The third entered from the northwest through Sakhalin and Kamchatka.
Each traveled a long journey from far away, arriving at the eastern edge of the world,
and reaching its endpoint in the Japanese archipelago.
There, they accumulated, mixed, and matured.
What emerged was Japanese aesthetics.
We will create an entirely new furniture brand centered on this aesthetic,
and then, retracing the path from this “endpoint,” return culture back to the world.

[We Are Looking for People Who]

  • Want to dedicate their lives to furniture and interiors as a lifelong career
  • Want to build and grow a brand with their own hands
  • Seriously want to challenge themselves to thrive on the global stage

We are looking for teammates to create and grow the AREA brand together.
For those who want to face craftsmanship with sincerity through days filled with challenges, AREA is the ideal workplace.
Will you bring your sensibility and experience to the world with us?

STAFF VOICE

Yujiro Matsue

Managing Director

Twenty years ago, AREA was known by almost no one—today, many people know it.
In another twenty years, the name AREA will surely be known across the world.
From founding members to mid-level and new graduate employees, each person’s daily work drives the company’s growth.
NODA Japan is a company where you can truly feel that and work with pride and fulfillment.

Natsumi Matsudaira

Deputy Manager, Accounting Department

I joined the company in 2012 and worked in the corporate sales department, but after maternity and childcare leave, I transferred to accounting myself after returning, in line with changes in my lifestyle.
There is a supportive environment where people think things through with you when you’re unsure at any step, and a culture that accepts each employee’s circumstances—so even now, on reduced hours, I can devote myself fully to my work and enjoy fulfilling days.

Kana Tatsumi

AREA Tokyo Store Sales

Having lived overseas, I admired interior work that connects with the world.
After working in Paris for about two years starting from my second year, I now handle customer service and sales at AREA Tokyo, as well as work with overseas suppliers.
